To be in the line with the progress of SAGOV project, Puglia Region – Coordination of International Policies organized the 4th Project Coordination Meeting with representatives of all project partners in Bari, Italy on the 7th of October 2019.
The purpose of the meeting was firstly for partners to update each other on the progress made during the last semester. Secondly, each partner representative used this project meeting to discuss on issues encountered in specific areas of the project, delays faced while implementing activities, and to create a work plan for the upcoming activities of the project.
The project SAGOV is based on 2 pillars, mapping of transport and maritime connectivity and on how all those projects and initiatives could be better organized and more efficient if we work together. The main focus of the meeting was presentation of research methodology and Terms of reference for activity of mapping of transport connectivity in South Adriatic area. Analyses and mapping that will be carried during the project are work in progress, as something similar has never been done at this level and in this detail and it has never been done between accession countries and member state. So, all these are innovative features of the project SAGOV.
Beside this, partners also agreed to organize 2 workshops on VTMIS by the end of this year in which experts of all three countries will collaborate together and exchange experience on implementation of VTMIS. The first workshop will be organized on 30th of October 2019 in Tirana, at the occasion of the 5th Tirana Connectivity Forum, while the second one will be organized in Bari in December 2019.
The next meeting will be scheduled in the first semester of 2020.
